I was going to put up a write up about bushido so that there would be an easy reference for players here. However, I am quite lazy and happened to find a much better and substantially more complete reference than I would have gone into. Remember all samurai are expected to follow bushido, from bushi, to magistrates and courtiers.

A write up by a player that has been sent to me:

Bushido
Preface: please note that some clans hold the Bushido in more respect than others. Sometimes differing importance is held even in families in the clan for example the Kakita and Doji hold more respect for the Bushido than the Daidoji or the Asahina. It goes for families like the Otaku and Shinjo compared to the Moto. Also remember that all bushi know the basic tenants of Bushido.

Tenets of Bushido
Gi: The concept of honesty and justice, a samurai believes in justice not in others but himself. A true samurai knows no shades of grey in the question of honesty and justice. There is only right and wrong.

Rei: The concept of polite curiosity. Samurai have no reason to be cruel. A samurai is courteous even to his enemies, without this outward show of respect we are no better than animals. A samurai is not only respected by his strength in battle but also in their treatment of other men.

Yu: The concept of heroic courage. Considered one of the main reasons samurai have such a place in the celestial order. Always remember that heroic courage is not blind, it is intelligent and strong. Replace fear with respect and caution.

Meyo: The concept of honor. After all is said and done there is only one judge of a samurai's honor, himself. Always remember you cannot run from yourself.

Jin: The concept of compassion. Through training a samurai becomes a mighty warrior. A samurai must use that gift for the good of all. He helps his fellow men a every opportunity, if the chance does not come up he will actively seek an opportunity.

Makoto: The concept of complete sincerity. When a samurai says he will perform an action it is as good as done, nothing can keep him from his duty. There is no promise or swearing only the fact that speaking and doing are the same action.

Chugo: The concept of duty and loyalty. This all breaks down in to responsibility, responsibility for the clan, responsibility for ones actions and responsibility to those in his care.

Clan Acceptance

Crab: Usually only the bushi follow the Bushido even then it's usually it's only the concepts of Yu and Gi

Crane: There following of the Bushido is second only to the lions fanatical love of the Bushido. They especially take the concept of Rei , Makoto, Chugo, and Meyo to heart.

Dragon: Follow the bushido as a guide for outward actions. The dragon fallow Rei, Jin, and Chugo mostly as guides where the Tao slips out.

Lion: The most fanatical of the Bushido follower's even the Kitsu fallow all of its tenants to heart.

Phoenix: Hold the Bushido as a sort of warriors Tao, usually only take to heart Rei and Chugo.

Scorpion: Much like the dragon they treat the Bushido as a guide to reacting to the outside world. They follow most of the Bushido with only lip service, with the exception of Chugo, which they fallow more than any other clan.

Unicorn: Number three on the followers of the Bushido. They take Gi and Meyo most seriously.

Mantis and Minor clans: Bushido is not widely accepted by these clans but the clan members that do follow it more feaverntly than most Matsu.

Ronin: A suprisingly large amount of ronin follow the Bushido and consider it their only true lord.

Naga , Nezumi ,Non-humans ,and Kolats: The concept of Bushido is foreign to these creatures. Though the Naga gives it respect as the human equivalent of the Akasha an attempt to unify a people.
