PlayerPenaltySystem

Player Penalty Systen (P.P.S.)

The Player Penalty System is the ladder of progressive punishments players who regularly break the rules, cause problems, or in other ways go out of their way to make the game un-fun for others will face.

The Player Penalty System

If you cause trouble:

1st offense - You get a warning

2nd offense - You lose X amount XP. if you don't have X XP, you are now in negative XP (X will most like be about 10, could be more if a more severe crime was committed)

3rd offense - Your character gets deleted. No, you can't get him back by claiming you're really really really sorry. You were warned twice after all.

4th offense - Temporary Ban (probably 2 weeks to a month)

5th offense - Permanent Ban

Trouble-Causing Actions

  • Ruining the fun of players in an OOC manner. IC conflict is okay, but not when taken OOC.
  • Excessive metagaming. Some metagaming will happen, it always will, it's impossible to guard against, but there is metagaming and there is METAGAMING.
  • Also under metagaming is repeatedly asking GMs for information that you have no reason to have or way of knowing IC.
  • God-moding
  • PMing a gm in their pc login to discuss game issues, without permission of that gm
  • GM Hopping for a decision
  • Editing the Official Wiki pages, or the wikis of other players, without permission of either gm staff or that player
  • OOC insults
  • Making the game "un-fun" for GMs
  • Regularly arguing with GM rulings
  • Being publically rude to a GM or Player in an OOC manner (yes, this includes the Entry Way)
  • Bringing private matters up in public
  • Having full out cyber-sex on the chat

The above are examples of some of those actions. Doing something bad, that isn't necessarily on this list, can and will still be punished.

Remember, GM discretion is heavily involved in the punishment you receive. If the Blue who makes the ruling feels that what you did was heinous enough to skip a step, than you will skip a step. If you feel you have been unjustly accused/punished you can appeal to the Head GMs (currently Cory) but make sure to have a good case, as 99% of the time, the field ruling will stand.

Remember, Five Rings Online follows a strict ICA = ICC policy. You do it in character, you will be punished for it in character
